Our mission:
We give young women the tools to improve their overall emotional, behavioral and social functioning.
We give young women the tools to improve their overall emotional, behavioral and social functioning.
We work virtually with a Chemical Dependency Counselor.
Residents are able to participate in individual and group CD therapy sessions.
For those students who are unable to attend public school, we have an onsite learning center.
Residents are able to get one-on-one educational assistance from our teachers and paraprofessionals.
Our activities coordinator facilitates multiple weekly groups focused on emotional and physical wellness. These groups consist of: fitness classes, arts and craft groups, cooking classes, and cultural activities.
We also plan off-site activities for the residents such as dance and kickboxing classes, bowling, trampoline parks, hiking trips, kayak and sailing excursions, beach days and more.
“In a world of chaos, pain, and rejection, Little Sand is a refuge of healing and belongingness for hurting teen girls. As a 1990 graduate of the program, I can testify that the unconditional positive regard, and genuine love I received changed the trajectory of my life. I am humbled and grateful to have been a recipient of the Jahn's/Pepin's tenacious dedication (when I was least deserving.)“
We want to you to join our Little Sand Family. Whether you are a family member of a potential resident, or looking for employment or volunteer opportunities, we would love to have you as a part of our Little Sand Community.
